Tofu and mushroom salad

Simple lettuce salad with Indonesia inspired turmeric-coriander marinated tofu and mushroom.

Ingredients for 2:
  • Chunks:
    • 0.5 block extra firm tofu, sliced
    • 1.5 box white mushroom, sliced
    • Anything else like meat, chicken
  • Marinade:
    • 0.25 tsp turmeric powder
    • 0.75-1 tsp ground coriander
    • about 1 tsp salt
    • water
  • To fry:
      both oil and butter
  • Salad:
    • 1 head romaine lettuce
    • salt
    • pepper
Directions:
  • Tofu and mushroom:
    1. Make the mariande.
    2. Slice up tofu, marinade.
    3. Wash and slice up mushroom.
    4. Heat up oil and butter, toss dry tofu and stir fry.
    5. Marinade the mushroom using the same mix while browning tofu a little bit, maybe 5 minutes.
    6. Add mushroom with the marinade mix to the pan. Boil an reduce a little bit.
    7. After sometimes, transfer tofu and mushroom to a boil, remove excess marinade from the pan.
    8. Heat up butter and oil, add back the tofu and mushroom and stir fry until done.
  • Salad:
    1. Cut up and wash lettuce, drain well.
    2. Toss with salt and pepper.
