Journal
11 Mar 2022: Seeds planted (McKenzie).
16 Mar: First sprout appears! Super tiny, 1 mm. About the size of a fungus gnat found in the soil.
25 Mar: Watered thoroughly in preparation of 10 days holiday.
3 Apr: Back from holiday, seedlings look very good and thriving.
Care
Similar growing condition with thyme: excellent plant for hot, dry, and sunny places; it can thrive indoors given enough direct light.
Needs 3 months for reaching harvest maturity.
Full sun
Sandy loam. Allow soil to dry completely between watering. Do not over water. Only water thoroughy adter soil is dry to touch.
Do not fertilize. It can change the flavor.
Pinch back when it is 4 inches tall. As the plant grow larger, pinch back every week. If it's becoming too woody, cut back.
Harvest is best right before the plant flowers. But harvest anytime is good.
Seeds require some light to germinate.
