Lavatera trimestris: Twins Hot Pink

Common names: annual mallow, rose mallow, royal mallow, regal mallow, and common annual tree mallow. Alternative latin names: Malva trimestris and Althaea trimestris. Flowering plant native to Mediterranean. Typically grow quite tall. The Twins Hot Pink breed is a compact form: 30 cm height.

  • Note from other Lavatera trimestris:
    • Water regularly. The plant is drought tolerant, but benefit from regular watering especially during hot period. Blooms will drop if soil gets too dry.
    • General-purpose fertilizer every month. Too much fertilizer may produce green leafy plant at the expense of blooms.
