12 Aug 2021: Planted from grocery store's cuts of rhyzomes. Growing so well but at the end sacrificed do to drying and spider mite investation. Thought easy to replant anyway, not realizing it can take a long time for the rhyzomes to develop eyes. The ones planted happened to be in pantry for quite a while. Next attempt actually has some success, however ginger available at store was very big and the container is no where big enough even for a skinny one. So it must be cut first. it got too soggy even though buds were developing. Thinking of a good chance to rot, and probable fungus gnat investation, it's sacrificed and now back to search an ideal rhyzomes again.
